A George V silver capstan inkwell by S Blanckensee & Son Ltd, Birmingham 1934, of typical form with hinged cover and glass liner, 5cm high, together with a late Victorian silver vesta case by George Unite, Birmingham 1899, 6cm x 4.2cm, and an Edwardian example by Joseph Gloster & Son, Birmingham 1909, 4.8cm x 3.6cm (3)

More Information

Inkwell: Good. A couple of small dents to the base. The cap is slightly misshapen, and does not sit flush, overlapping to the left of the inkwell. Base is in good order, showing minor scratching and wear only. Glass liner is in good order. General scratching and wear to the exterior consistent with use.

Vestas: Both are in good order. Covers open easily and close flush with a snap. Both examples have a moderate amount of denting to their covers, concentrated at the sides. Decoration on both examples is crisp, though the smaller example shows a bit more wear. Hallmarks to both examples are legible.
