An Art Deco silver mounted glass sugar caster by Roberts & Dore Ltd, London (date letter worn), of geometric form with black painted canted corners, the screw down cover with pierced decoration, 14.7cm high

Overall condition is fair - this is in usable condition. There are small to moderate amounts of scratching and wear to the black paint, largely concentrated at the edges and high points. There are chips and nibbles to the high points, and one high point has a medium sized conchoidal fracture radiating from the centre. None of the nibbles or fractures penetrate through the whole caster, they are on the surface only. There is general scratching and wear to the glass, concentrated at the base, consistent with use. There is denting to the silver cover, the largest dent measuring approximately 1cm. No splitting or repair to the cover. The cover screws on and off correctly and sits flush to the top of the caster.
