A Victorian novelty vinaigrette/scent bottle by Sampson Mordan & Co, modelled as a horn, transparent glass body with gilt mounts, hinged cover opening to reveal a pierced grille, screw-fitting cap to base, gold coloured suspensory chain, registration lozenge for 21st June 1870, 8.8cm long
No cracks, chips or losses to the glass. There appears to be a blockage to the bottle neck. Denting and wear around the neck. Grille in good order, no splitting or signs of repair. Mounts are in good order - light denting, moderate scratching and wear, but no splitting, loss or signs of repair. Hinged cover opens and closes smoothly but does not sit completely flush. Chain links show some minor misshaping and thinning, no signs of repair. Please see additional images for illustration.
