A Victorian silver novelty domino vesta case by James Deakin & Sons, Chester 1899, of rectangular form with black and yellow enamel decoration, striker to each side, with sliding interior compartment, 4.7cm x 2.8cm, weight 1.04ozt

Overall condition is fair. There is heavy chipping and scratching to the enamelled decoration - the heaviest concentrated at the two dot markers to the end of the case, which shows relatively heavy chipping. There is a moderate amount of denting, concentrated to the corners and edges of the outer sleeve and to the base of the inner tray. There is moderate to heavy scratching to the front, reverse and sides (please see additional images for side views.)There is a small area of possible solder repair to one corner. There is a moderate amount of wear to the hallmarks (as illustrated in the pictures). Draw is relatively stiff and can be difficult to slide up and down.
