An 18th century white metal sugar bowl, circa 1780, the cage form bowl with blue glass liner, gadrooned detailing to rim and spreading base, foliate swags, surmounted with a monogrammed cartouche and two cameo portraits, rope twist swing handle, 9cm high, gross weight of metal 5ozt

Tarnishing and wear throughout commensurate with age and usage, blue glass liner fits well, with only minor surface scratching, cage form body misshapen in places on the bars, wear to the high points of the surmounted detail, piece sits level when placed on a flat surface, foot rim with tiny tear to inside and small lump of solder to exterior, swing handle functioning.
