More Information

The print is framed under glass and has not been removed for inspection. The sheet shows age-related darkening throughout. The top edge shows a vertical tear approximately 6cm long 24cm in from the right hand edge of the sheet. There is a scuff penetrating through the paper 10cm in from the right hand edge of sheet, with further small tears emanating from the scuff. There are further non-penetrating scuffs to various areas of the sheet, most noticeably below the elephant's trunk. The lower margin of the print show various stains and watermarks along its length. The frame appears to be structurally sound, but shows wear to the gilt highlights.
