An Edwardian diamond and ruby 18ct gold ring, comprising a central old cut diamond with a mixed cut ruby to either side, each set in star shaped gypsy settings to a raised central panel with scalloped borders and plain polished shank, marks for Birmingham 1909, ring size N, together with an Edwardian style emerald and diamond 9ct gold ring, marks for Birmingham 1985, ring size O 1/2, gross weight of group 3.0gms (2)

Ruby & Diamond example: All stones are present, however all show large chips and some fracturing. All stones show moderate scratching and wear. Claws are heavily worn, however all stones are in tact. Borders are in tact. Shank shows some misshaping and moderate thinning, no splitting or repair. General scratching and wear to shank.

Emeralds: All stones are present. All show small to moderate amounts of pitting and scratching, and show possible signs of oiling/filling. All diamonds are present and in tact. Claws show some wear, but all are present an in tact. Shank shows moderate thinning, general scratching and wear - no signs of repair or resizing.
