A collection of twelve portrait silhouette miniatures, 19th century and later, variously framed, the largest 21cm x 18.5cm overall (12) (at fault)

More Information

All the frames show some wear, including losses and cracking in some cases. Many of the silhouettes show staining or discolouration to the backgrounds. Several appear to have been re-mounted in associated frames. Two appear to have been cut out and later mounted. Both the silhouettes in the shaped oval frames appear to be on plaster. The oval plaster plaque depicting the lady shows a crude repair to the right hand side. The plaster plaque depicting the gentleman shows a small loss to the top left edge, partially under the frame. Both oval frames show small losses to the high points.
