An Edwardian glass jar and silver cover, S Blanckensee & Son Ltd Birmingham 1907, the faceted jar flashed in pink and yellow colour-ways and engraved with floral sprays, further engraved to the base, 14cm high (at fault), with a George III silver spoon with later fruit embossing (2)

Jar: Condition is good. There is heavy wear to the grey-black enamel decoration on the high points. All other decoration is clear. There is a small conchoidal fracture to the border of one of the panels measuring 6mm across, and a fracture to the lip of the jar measuring 17mm across. No other cracks, chips or fractures. Cover in good order, some denting concentrated around the vacant cartouche, but no splitting, major damage or repair. Hallmarks are clear.

Spoon: In good order, no major denting, splitting or signs of repair. All embossing to bowl is crisp. Engraving to handle is clear, but makers mark to the reverse is heavily worn.
